PMO plays love Latin Style, get GRAMMY Nomination

The Pacific Mambo Orchestra (PMO) has received a nomination for its original Big Band sound in the Best Latin Tropical Album category for the 56th GRAMMY AWARDS CELEBRATION. This exciting and skillful 19 piece Latin Big Band resolved to play for the love of music, and the pleasure of music lovers; who sometimes were unable to attend the concerts. In other words, the concert venue and "the dance floor (were) often nearly empty...but we kept playing", said co-founders Christian Tumalan and Steffen Kuehn. PMO continued to "gig regularly"...with passion...at every opportunity...many times for no pay...just for the love of playing music! These nineteen dedicated musicians buoyed and appreciated each others skills, and totally enjoyed the experience of touring across America.
