Jenni Rivera, performer and entrepreneur, departed the set recently. A three times Latin GRAMMY® nominee, she is credited with modernizing the bounds of traditional Mexican music. The genre is known as Banda; a music style with heavy horn presence on a polka-like rhythm section backdrop. Her stage persona was that of a conspicuous feminine presence resplendent in rhinestone embellished leather bustiers. She enjoyed a huge fan base which collected more than 15 million of her recordings. Her popular songs include 'Las Mismas Costumbres', and 'Las Malandrinas'. Her albums include 'Mi Vida Loca', 'La Gran Senora', and 'Joyas Prestadas'. She was a mother of five, a television show producer, and well regarded performing artist.
