He collaborated with a wide range of artists and was one of the first musical visionaries to cross Latin music over to mainstream radio in the United States, thus paving the way for many of Latin music’s emerging artists. Among his numerous songs was the international hit "Eres Tú," which he composed for the group Mocedades.
