MONTY GUY Friends In Motion Michael Lewin-Pianist

BEAU SOIR; A New CD Listening Experience by Michael Lewin. Michael Lewin is internationally applauded as one of America’s most abundantly gifted and charismatic concert pianists; performing to acclaim in over 30 countries with orchestras, in recital, and as a chamber musician. The New York Times applauded his New York Lincoln Center recital debut in 1984, writing that “his immense technique and ability qualify him eminently for success.” Since then, his tours have taken him to New York’s major concert halls, Boston's Symphony Hall, Pasadena's Ambassador Auditorium, the Library of Congress and National Gallery of Art in Washington, Moscow’s Great Hall, Hong Kong's City Hall Theater, Taipei's National Concert Hall, the Opera Houses of Cairo and Wilmington, the Athens Megaron, Holland’s Muziekcentrum Vredenburg, and London’s Wigmore Hall.  Michael's recently released new masterpiece is entitled BEAU SOIR (Beautiful Evening). He seized this opportunity to present, in spectacularly sonorous fashion, the compositions of Claude Debussy. Please note that one does not have to be familiar with the compositions and style of presentation within the classical music genre to appreciate and enjoy the magnificent artwork of pianist Michael Lewin. He gracefully escorts you through a myriad of passionate and thrilling roller coaster rides of exquisite musical joy in safety and comfort; while allowing you, the listener, to feel both amazed and satisfied with the genius of one fellow playing one piano. At Michael's fingertips, the piano keyboard responds with excitement, enthusiasm, and a full sound that suggests calmness and control that is achieved only with the skill that results from experience and commitment to excellence in one's craft. Michael plays and controls the notes. He lets the notes live; he lets them breathe, and allows you to hear them in their entirety; all the way to their respective ends. His technique is extraordinarily clean. As we listen to BEAU SOIR, Michael's passionate presentation allows us to disregard the total disc time of one hour and nine minutes; an amount of time that seems all too brief for a display of such superb artistry. In fact, one is tempted to stand and applaud at the end of every track! After jotting down our impressions on tracks one through seven, this author just had to put down the pen and go along for the smooth ride to the end of track twenty. But wait...there's more! In the BEAU SOIR CD package, Michael has included a Blu-Ray surround sound Disc for even more enjoyment! Want to play the piano well? Michael Lewin shows how it is done. After hearing these magnificent interpretations of his works, Claude Debussy would have to conclude that he composed solely for the piano craftwork of Michel Lewin; and with the outstanding support of Sound Engineer Daniel Shores, we listeners are allowed to experience the ecstatic delight of a Beautiful Evening by listening to Michael Lewin's new CD BEAU SOIR whenever we choose.
