Kevin Lucas Orchestra begins Nursing Home Tour

Kevin Lucas Orchestra begins Nursing Home Tour. My annual Southern Illinois nursing home tour called 'Operation Give Hope' starts Monday! This is my favorite tour all year because I think its great to spend time at a nursing home since our elderly have so much wealth in wisdom to offer the world, and they really need more public interaction than they get. They have helped shape the positive aspects of our society and they have helped shape us. The well regarded percusionist, who plays the Marimba, will perform at five nursing homes during his 2014 'Give Hope Tour'. The tour from August 25 through August 29 is made possible by Carbondale Community Arts. "These are the most important concerts that I will play all year. Being able to perform for people and cheer them up is why I play music. And I think that everyone should use their talent to help the community", said Kevin Lucas; adding "I can't express enough gratitude for what CCA has done for both Southern Illinois and countless artists in the area. They are one of the best organizations that Southern Illinois has to offer. The Operation Give Hope Tour schedule: Monday, August 25, 2014, Noon, River to River Residential, Marion.
