The 57th GRAMMY AWARDS Selections process is well underway. The first round is in full swing. With over fifteen thousand items listed as submissions for consideration, clearly, music fans have already won an award. Music Creators have raised the bar on themselves. The production quality, variety in genre, and even aesthetic appearance of current creations shows that today's recording artists are determined to engage all of our senses with their art. In addition, personal appearances, concerts, and informal tours are illuminating many of our communities; local and overseas; Carnegie Hall to local dance hall. Certainly familiar music favorites are in the mix. However, the most excitement appears to be generated by Independent musicians (The INDIES). Their craft work is to be found in all categories, all genres, all styles. The quality of their work shows that music creativity is the best that it has ever been. The creations of the Indie musicians is a cornucopia of delight for Fans, Friends, and Supporters of music. In fact, one music fan confessed to this author that while being exposed to the new music that is being featured in the 57th GRAMMY AWARDS CELEBRATION, that "I fell in love all over again...my heart exploded with delight!".
