MONTY GUY admits favorite actors don't wear pants!

MONTY GUY supporter MELO1 caught up with Monty during a recent dynamic sound engineering session. Here is some of the chit chat... Q: How did you get into the music production/recording business? A: I have always loved music; from singing in the church choir, to digging many parties, to starting my first band as a young teen in London. I even played the drums in many pick up bands while in college; but I never had an ambition to produce or perform music. During a hot summer in New York City looking for a job, I decided to find out how a record was made. The long shot fascinated me. I lucked out and got an audition at the Cotton Club where I met the Pazant Brothers. They helped me to set up the band and get started. They became the Pazant Brass on my original recordings...then some other folks started to call my original efforts Easy Listening Orchestral Pop; and here we are. Q: Any embarassing music moments? A: The dance contest in London when I did the "Soul Move". I jumped up like a rocket, and came down into a full split. I could not get up. It was like being stuck in drying cement. My friends had to peel me off the dance floor and carry me to our seats. Q: Is there another? A: Yes. My band the Cosmos and I performed in a talent show. We were playing "Wipe Out". I was on lead guitar. The guitar strap (some cord) slipped; the guitar fell. I caught it on one knee and continued playing without missing a beat. We got a great round of applause from the gracious audience. We went home without knowing the results of the contest; figuring that we had wiped out. Q: Any hobbies other than music? A: Yeah. Playing virtual snakes and ladders with the Queen Of England. She always wins...gets all ladders. I always land on the snakes. She never even has to touch the dice. They just shake themselves and roll when it's Her Majesty's turn. Q: I hear that you enjoy movies. Any favorite actors? Q: Donald Duck, Wiley Coyote, Road Runner, and the Gekko. These guys are such great actors that no one has noticed that they don't wear pants. You know that you are mega large when you can be on TV and in the movies without wearing pants and no one notices. That's what I call great acting talent. Excerpts from a recent interview with MONTY GUY during a break in a sound engineering recording session.
