Friends In Motion Matt & Rebecca Stuart; Minstrel Streams The thought to seek out a 'New Horizon' came to mind. I noted, with delight and interest, that the new CD from Minstrel Streams conveyed that thought with its title. All the compositions are original; by Matt and Rebecca. The songs feature their polished skills on the Steinway B Grand Piano/Acoustic Guitar (Matt), and the Gemeinhardt flute/ Native American flutes (Rebecca). Their sound is full and smooth. My first thoughts about their sound presentation was "all substance...no fluff". The sound type reminded me of a "Renaissance Style"; augmented with orchestration which included Cello, English Horn, String Bass, Accordian, Bodhran Drum, and a touch of vocals. The listening experience reminded me that when new opportunities are approached with an open mind, amazing discoveries become manifest. I came away satisfied and refreshed after contemplating a 'New Horizon' while wading in the Minstrel Streams created by Matt & Rebecca Stuart.
