Equilibrium, by Kerani Equilibrium is a curiously interesting new instrumental release with vocal embellishment. Kerani, a composer and pianist, allows her New Age creative passion to manifest itself in the captivating contemplation of the medieval and renaissance music styles. Within the nine tracks collection, one is enthralled by elements of Gregorian Chants; embellished with a touch of sacred and secular melodic interpretations. In Equilibrium, Kerani's' purpose appears to be a celebration of the essence of womanhood and the ethereal quality of femininity; by way of exquisite musical composition and instrumental artistry. Equilibrium offered an interesting and easy hour of pleasing originality. Jan Mertens provided a wonderful flute contribution in the track 'Fragrant Mountain', while Arno Op den Camp delighted this listener with remarkable sound design skills to highlight the sound production quality. Included in the fine Equilibrium CD collection are the tracks 'Hypatia's Universe', and 'O, Aeterne Deus'. Equilibrium, by composer/pianist Kerani, is a well balanced and satisfying work in the art of musical sound creativity.
