Friends In Motion; Heidi Breyer

Letters From Far Away; Heidi Breyer. Today is a delightfully full and satisfying music listening day. Heidi Breyer surprised me with an enchanting two disc package. The first disc features her inspired solo piano performance on eleven tracks. The listening experience engendered a mood of peace, calm, and reflective contemplation. The artistic creativity is easy to enjoy. After listening to the first disc, I was reluctant to experience the second; as it is often extremely difficult to improve on a good thing. The second disc, with the same tracks as the first, offered augmented arrangements featuring horns, vocals, and a strings section which includes violin, bass, and guitars. There was no need for concern. The enhanced ensemble arrangements added sufficient embellishment to complement the excellent standard of quality which Heidi had already established. Thus, either disc represents a marvelous example of excellent musicianship. Both discs together are like a joyful jackpot for listeners. Heidi Breyer's "Letters From Far Away" double CD release should always be kept close for its desirable content of artistic excellence and outstanding musical creativity.
