Back In Time; George Varghese Guitarist/Composer George Varghese presents an explosive sound collection on his new CD entitled "Back In Time". George makes the electric guitar sound exciting once again. The CD begins with "Lost In The Wind"; a huge sounding track; introduced with the obligatory sound of the wind for concept consistency. The song "Back In Time" introduces an Eastern flavor, accentuated with flute and tabla. This track comes across as a well regarded rock instrumental ballad. "Eternity" was the track that reached out and held me in the midst of George's exciting instrumental creations. The song "Stepping Stones" is reminiscent of a lively sixties style rock song. George, along with his outstanding musician colleagues, makes good use of supporting instrumentation; as evidenced by the flute in "Back In Time", and the violin in "Crystal Waves". George's use of tempo changes within the compositions is admirable, and serves to enhance the listening experience; while keeping the listener delightfully engaged. "Back In Time", by George Varghese, is explosive, smooth, exciting, and entertaining. This electric guitar led instrumental disc compilation survived this listener's "one mo' time" test...with room to spare. "Back In Time" by George Varghese and Friends is excellent!
