The new CD by the Chris Greene Quartet is called "Music Appreciation". Now, many folks can carry a tune quite well, but when I saw that Chris Greene was carrying the sax on his back, well, I had to give it a listen. The CD, "Music Appreciation", is what some fans from yesteryear called 'a double pocket'; CGQ is presenting this music collection on two discs. The music is bold, creative, and exciting. I enjoy the courageous approach to, and inclusion of variegated tempos in the compositions; intriguing...without losing the listener. Overall, I enjoy the live, intimate, spontaneous performance feel of this recording.
